Celebrating the election of A/Prof Paddy Neumann to class of 2025 Associate Fellows
Neumann Space heartily congratulate our very own A/Prof Patrick “Paddy” Neumann for being elected to the @AIAA Class of 2025 Associate Fellows. This honour follows many years of work and is awarded “For contributions to electric spacecraft propulsion systems, novel forms of in-situ resource utilization, and the growth of the Australian space industry.”
In addition to his work at Neumann Space as Chief Scientist, Paddy has been engaged with the AIAA since his student days, including being Chair of the Adelaide Section since 2019, and an active member of the Electric Propulsion Technical Committee since 2018. The strength of his work has also been recognised by the Scientist of the Year Award at the 2022 Australian Space Awards, and previously by the AIAA with the prestigious Lawrence Sperry Award in 2020.
Of the 127 members of the 2025 Class of Associate Fellows, Paddy is proud to be one of seven from outside North America, and the only one from the southern hemisphere.
