Neumann Space successfully completes first on-orbit test aboard SpIRIT
ADELAIDE 21 October 2024 – We are thrilled to announce that the Neumann Drive® has successfully completed its first on-orbit test aboard the SpIRIT nanosatellite! This marks a significant milestone in proving the capabilities of our cutting-edge electric propulsion system, which uses solid metal propellants to deliver unparalleled mobility in space.
Thanks to our collaboration with the University of Melbourne and the SpIRIT mission team, we’ve demonstrated that our Neumann Drive® can perform in the harsh conditions of space. This success not only strengthens Australia’s presence in the global space industry but also brings us closer to achieving sustainable economic development in space.
